Chuck Johnson,
the head instructor at Quiet Flame Taekwondo (formerly the Shinjuku Taekwondo Club) is a master of Olympic Taekwondo.
In addition to his 4th degree black belt 4th degree black Taekwondo, he is a 2-time state and 2 time (non-Olympic) national champion, and also holds ranks in Capoeira, Karate, Kobudo, and Judo.
He also has experience in boxing, kickboxing, wing chun kung fu, krav maga, hapkido, hanmudo, and Tai Chi.
Due to his high proficiency in martial arts, Chuck has worked on security teams for everyone from Sylvester Stallone and Jude Law to Gwyneth Paltrow and Kim Hee Sun of Korea.
He is also an established action film actor in Japan working on such projects as Kamen Rider, ATARU, Geki Rangers and motion capture for video games.
Chuck is also a long time martial arts writer, and his writing has been published in Japan Today, Fight Master, and Roda Magazine, among others.
